N\u00eb kuad\u00ebr t\u00eb “Vitit t\u00eb Gjecovit” n\u00eb 150 vjetorin e lindjes,\u00a0 te shpallur nga Akademia e Shkencave te Kosov\u00ebs.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nikoll\u00eb Mekajshi dhe Vula Peshkopale e tij e rujatur ne koleksionin e Sh. Gjecov Kryeziut.<\/p>\n

Ne arkivin e Shtjefen Gjecov Kryeziut ruhej deri ne vitin 1945 Vula e Peshkopit Nikoll Mekajshi. Vulen ja huazoi Sh. Gjecovi per botim Teodor Ipenit, Konsullit Austriak ne Shkoder, dhe ai e botoi ne monografine e tij ne Vjene.<\/p>\n

Vlerat dhe kontributi i Gjecovit si gjurmues dhe mbrojtes i Trash\u00ebgimise ton\u00eb \u00ebshte e pa cmuar.<\/p>\n

Nikoll\u00eb Mekajshi ishte nj\u00eb nga organizuesit dhe z\u00ebdh\u00ebn\u00ebsit e l\u00ebvizjes \u00e7lirimtare shqiptare, n\u00eb krye t\u00eb s\u00eb cil\u00ebs m\u00eb 1595 synoi t\u00eb sulmonte e \u00e7lironte Kruj\u00ebn. Ndoshta me prejardhje nga Mjek\u00ebsi i Elbasanit, u b\u00eb peshkop i \u00a0krahines se Stefanis\u00eb n\u00eb Shqip\u00ebrin\u00eb e Mesme. M\u00eb 1601-1602 mori pjes\u00eb si figur\u00eb kryesore n\u00eb kuvendin e Dukagjinit. Pas kuvendit t\u00eb Dukagjinit vazhdoi t\u00eb mbante lidhje me oborret evropiane dhe d\u00ebrgoi atje edhe p\u00ebrfaq\u00ebsues. I ndjekur nga osman\u00ebt, u detyrua t\u00eb t\u00ebrhiqej n\u00eb malet e Dukagjinit. M\u00eb 1609 shkoi n\u00eb Spanj\u00eb si ambasador i krer\u00ebve shqiptar\u00eb. I zhg\u00ebnjyer nga q\u00ebndrimi zvarrit\u00ebs i mbretit spanjoll u kthye n\u00eb Rom\u00eb, ku i paraqiti pap\u00ebs nj\u00eb p\u00ebrkujtes\u00eb me fjal\u00eb t\u00eb forta proteste. Nikoll\u00eb Mekajshi mbeti n\u00eb m\u00ebrgim, ku vdiq m\u00eb 1615.<\/p>\n

Mendimi\u00a0 i studiuesve eshte qe kjo vule mban ne qender, si shihet dhe ne foto Emblemen (stemen) e familjes mesjetare fisnike shqiptare Mekajshi (ne dokumente: Mecaisi). Per kete shih: Jaho Brahaj – “Emblema Shqiptare”, botuar ne Tirane, ne vitin 1997, fq. 82-83.<\/p>\n

Vula \u00ebsht\u00eb\u00a0 nd\u00ebr t\u00eb vetmet nga Peshkop\u00ebt\u00a0 shqiptar\u00eb t\u00eb shek. XVI-XVII q\u00eb ruhej origjinale.<\/p>\n

Me gjithe kerkimet nuk kami arritur ta zbulojme qe ruhet n\u00eb ndonje nga arkivat tona pas vitit 1945.<\/p>\n
