Kush jan\u00eb njer\u00ebzit e tjer\u00eb rreth tij? \u00c7\u2019p\u00ebrfaq\u00ebsojn\u00eb ata? Me fjal\u00eb t\u00eb tjera, \u00e7far\u00eb e b\u00ebn secilin nga ne t\u00eb jet\u00eb ajo, ose ai person q\u00eb \u00ebsht\u00eb dhe jo nj\u00eb tjet\u00ebr? Gjithmon\u00eb kam dashur t\u2019u gjej nj\u00eb p\u00ebrgjigje k\u00ebtyre pyetjeve, t\u00eb cilat, n\u00eb thelb, jan\u00eb \u00e7\u00ebshtje me t\u00eb cilat merret filozofia, por duket se nj\u00eb p\u00ebrgjigje e till\u00eb, deri m\u00eb sot, nuk ekziston.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Njih vetveten<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Edhe pse \u00e7\u00ebshtja e identitetit personal t\u00eb individit \u00ebsht\u00eb, n\u00eb thelbin e vet, nj\u00eb \u00e7\u00ebshtje filozofike, ajo mund t\u00eb nxis\u00eb <em>imagjinat\u00ebn sociologjike<\/em> t\u00eb \u00e7dokujt q\u00eb \u00ebsht\u00eb i interesuar p\u00ebr t\u00eb. A nuk ndryshon vazhdimisht \u00e7donj\u00ebri nga ne\u2014prej f\u00ebmij\u00ebris\u00eb deri n\u00eb mosh\u00eb t\u00eb thyer\u2014dhe a nuk mbetet \u00e7donj\u00ebri nga ne p\u00ebrs\u00ebri <em>i nj\u00ebjti<\/em> person?<\/p>\n<p>Ky \u00ebsht\u00eb, n\u00eb fakt, thelbi i \u00e7\u00ebshtjes. P\u00ebrgjigjet q\u00eb jan\u00eb p\u00ebrpjekur t\u2019i japin k\u00ebsaj pyetjeje filozof\u00eb t\u00eb ndrysh\u00ebm variojn\u00eb. Disa mendojn\u00eb se ajo \u00e7ka i jep p\u00ebrmbajtje identitetit ton\u00eb si nj\u00eb ndivid i ve\u00e7ant\u00eb njer\u00ebzor \u00ebsht\u00eb <em>kujtesa<\/em> jon\u00eb. T\u00eb tjer\u00eb mendojn\u00eb se elementi kryesor q\u00eb e b\u00ebn \u00e7do individ njer\u00ebzor t\u00eb jet\u00eb ai ose ajo q\u00eb \u00ebsht\u00eb dhe jo nj\u00eb tjet\u00ebr, \u00ebsht\u00eb ajo \u00e7ka John Locke, n\u00eb vepr\u00ebn e tij t\u00eb famshme <em>Nj\u00eb ese mbi t\u00eb kuptuarit njer\u00ebzor<\/em> (<em>An Essay Concerning Human Understanding<\/em>, 1690), e quante \u201cvazhdim\u00ebsi psikologjike\u201d te \u00e7do njeri. Locke argumentonte se, n\u00ebse ti je n\u00eb gjendje t\u00eb kujtosh nj\u00eb veprim q\u00eb ke kryer n\u00eb t\u00eb kaluar\u00ebn, kjo do t\u00eb thot\u00eb se je ti personi q\u00eb e ka kryer at\u00eb veprim; por n\u00ebse ty nuk t\u00eb kujtohet ta kesh kryer nj\u00eb veprim t\u00eb till\u00eb, at\u00ebher\u00eb, sipas tij, at\u00eb nuk e ke kryer ti, por dikush tjet\u00ebr.<\/p>\n<p>Por, a \u00ebsht\u00eb identiteti yn\u00eb individual i lidhur vet\u00ebm, ose kryesisht me <em>kujtes\u00ebn<\/em>, me \u201cvazhdim\u00ebsin\u00eb psikologjike\u201d, ose me konstituimin ton\u00eb moral dhe intelektual? A nuk \u00ebsht\u00eb ai, gjithashtu, i pandar\u00eb edhe nga <em>trupi<\/em> yn\u00eb, si nga partikulariteti i kompozimit gjenetik t\u00eb tij, ashtu dhe nga madh\u00ebsia apo nga forma e tij? A mundet, pra, t\u00eb flitet p\u00ebr identitetin e secilit nga ne, si individ, duke e konsideruar k\u00ebt\u00eb identitet t\u00eb ndar\u00eb nga trupi yn\u00eb?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Anija e Teseut<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>T\u00eb gjitha k\u00ebto pyetje mund t\u00eb p\u00ebrmblidhen n\u00eb nj\u00eb t\u00eb vetme: Sa mund t\u00eb ndryshoj\u00eb nj\u00eb individ i ve\u00e7ant\u00eb, gjat\u00eb jet\u00ebs s\u00eb tij, dhe p\u00ebrs\u00ebri t\u00eb mbetet <em>po ai<\/em> q\u00eb \u00ebsht\u00eb, pra, pa e ndryshuar <em>identitetin<\/em> e tij? Analogjia me Anijen e Teseut, mbretit mitologjik t\u00eb Athin\u00ebs, ose, si\u00e7 i referohen atij zakonisht, \u201cparadoksi i Anijes s\u00eb Teseut\u201d, \u00ebsht\u00eb shembulli m\u00eb i njohur q\u00eb p\u00ebrdoret kur shtrohet \u00e7\u00ebshtja filozofike mbi natyr\u00ebn e identitetit individual t\u00eb njeriut. Sipas Plutarkut, anija me t\u00eb cil\u00ebn Teseu u kthye n\u00eb Athin\u00eb, u mbajt n\u00eb p\u00ebrdorim p\u00ebr nj\u00eb koh\u00eb t\u00eb gjat\u00eb, por meq\u00ebn\u00ebse druri i saj vjet\u00ebrohej e kalbej nga dita n\u00eb dit\u00eb, me kalimin e koh\u00ebs, ai u z\u00ebvend\u00ebsua i gjithi, pjes\u00eb-pjes\u00eb, deri sa n\u00eb at\u00eb anije nuk mbeti m\u00eb asgj\u00eb nga materiali origjinal. Kjo histori ka sh\u00ebrbyer p\u00ebr shekuj me radh\u00eb si nj\u00eb argument n\u00eb debatin filozofik q\u00eb vazhdon t\u00eb zhvillohet mbi \u00e7\u00ebshtjen e identitetit, duke i ndar\u00eb filozof\u00ebt n\u00eb dy grupe t\u00eb m\u00ebdha: n\u00eb ata q\u00eb besojn\u00eb se, pas z\u00ebvend\u00ebsimit t\u00eb krejt drurit t\u00eb anijes, ajo mbeti e nj\u00ebjta anije dhe, n\u00eb ata q\u00eb mendojn\u00eb se, pas k\u00ebtij ndryshimi total, anija nuk ishte m\u00eb ajo e para, por nj\u00eb anije e re.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jemi ne ata q\u00eb ishim?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lidhur ngusht\u00eb me pyetjen \u201cKush jam un\u00eb?\u201d mund t\u00eb b\u00ebhet edhe nj\u00eb pyetje tjet\u00ebr: <em>A jam un\u00eb sot i nj\u00ebjti person q\u00eb kam qen\u00eb?<\/em> Ose, <em>a je ti sot i nj\u00ebjti person q\u00eb un\u00eb kam njohur dikur?<\/em> \u00c7\u00ebshtja e identitetit personal ka t\u00eb b\u00ebj\u00eb, pra, me at\u00eb se si rritja n\u00eb mosh\u00eb, ndryshimet q\u00eb p\u00ebson nj\u00eb individ dhe p\u00ebrvojat e tij jet\u00ebsore e transformojn\u00eb at\u00eb. Ndoshta ato mund edhe ta b\u00ebjn\u00eb at\u00eb nj\u00eb person krejt tjet\u00ebr, prej nga rrjedh nj\u00eb pyetje tjet\u00ebr: <em>A mundet \u00e7donj\u00ebri nga ne t\u00eb b\u00ebhet nj\u00eb person tjet\u00ebr n\u00eb t\u00eb ardhmen?<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Nj\u00eb p\u00ebrgjigje p\u00ebr k\u00ebt\u00eb pyetje mund t\u00eb ishte ajo se, pavar\u00ebsisht ndryshimeve fizike q\u00eb p\u00ebson \u00e7do individ njer\u00ebzor me kalimin e koh\u00ebs, jan\u00eb <em>mendja<\/em> dhe <em>shpirti<\/em> i tij ata q\u00eb formojn\u00eb identitetin e <em>\u00e7do<\/em> individi\u2014mua, ty, at\u00eb.<\/p>\n<p>Nj\u00eb tjet\u00ebr p\u00ebrgjigje mund t\u00eb ishte se \u00ebsht\u00eb shfaqja t\u00ebnde fizike ajo p\u00ebrcakton at\u00eb q\u00eb <em>ti<\/em> je. Por, a mund t\u00eb ket\u00eb \u201cgj\u00ebra\u201d q\u00eb ekzistojn\u00eb n\u00eb koh\u00eb, por <em>jo<\/em> edhe n\u00eb hap\u00ebsir\u00eb? Sigurisht q\u00eb ka. T\u00eb tilla mund t\u00eb konsiderohen, fjala vjen, karaktere dhe bot\u00eb t\u00eb imagjinuara.<\/p>\n<p>Por, a mundet q\u00eb, n\u00eb analogji me k\u00ebto, identiteti i nj\u00eb individi t\u00eb ekzistoj\u00eb n\u00eb koh\u00eb (si pjes\u00eb e shpirtit dhe e karakterit t\u00eb tij), por jo n\u00eb hap\u00ebsir\u00eb, pra jo i lidhur me trupin e tij?<\/p>\n<p>P\u00ebr nj\u00eb koh\u00eb t\u00eb gjat\u00eb \u00ebsht\u00eb zhvilluar nj\u00eb debat tep\u00ebr i gjall\u00eb filozofik mes atyre q\u00eb argumentojn\u00eb se identiteti personal krijohet n\u00eb nj\u00eb <em>kontinuitet fizik<\/em>, dhe atyre q\u00eb insistojn\u00eb n\u00eb iden\u00eb e <em>vazhdim\u00ebsis\u00eb psikologjike<\/em>. Sipas pik\u00ebpamjes s\u00eb par\u00eb, \u00e7donj\u00ebri nga ne \u00ebsht\u00eb sot i nj\u00ebjti person q\u00eb ka qen\u00eb kur ishte f\u00ebmij\u00eb, ose adoleshent, pasi gjithkush ka <em>t\u00eb nj\u00ebjtin<\/em> trup, ose nj\u00eb trup q\u00eb, p\u00ebrve\u00e7se \u00ebsht\u00eb rritur si v\u00ebllim, nuk ka ndryshuar esencialisht n\u00eb at\u00eb mas\u00eb e n\u00eb at\u00eb m\u00ebnyr\u00eb q\u00eb t\u00eb mund krahasohej me \u201canijen e Teseut\u201d. Koh\u00ebt e fundit, shkenca ka arritur t\u00eb zbuloj\u00eb, madje, se n\u00eb \u00e7\u2019mas\u00eb ndryshon dhe \u201crikonstruktohet\u201d trupi i njeriut, ose pjes\u00eb t\u00eb ve\u00e7anta t\u00eb tij.
